Review Funnel

Overview

The Review Funnel is an automated post-job flow that protects the contractor's online reputation while maximizing the number of public reviews they collect. It fires automatically when a job is marked complete — no manual follow-up needed.

The mechanic is simple and proven: customers who rate the experience 4 or 5 stars are taken directly to Google or Yelp to leave a public review. Customers who rate 1, 2, or 3 stars are routed to a private feedback form instead. Their frustration gets heard without damaging the contractor's public rating, and the contractor gets actionable feedback to address the issue directly.

Approved testimonials from high-rating customers can be displayed automatically on the contractor's website review showcase — pulling fresh social proof onto the site without any manual copy-paste.

  • Post-Job Trigger — Review request sent automatically via SMS and email when job status moves to Complete
  • Star Rating Gate — Single-tap 1–5 star rating determines routing: 4–5 stars → public review link; 1–3 stars → private feedback form
  • Platform Routing — Contractor configures which public review platforms to use (Google Business Profile, Yelp, Facebook, etc.) and in what order
  • Private Feedback Form — Captures unhappy customer feedback directly; logged in CRM as a service issue; contractor notified immediately
  • Testimonial Showcase — Optionally pull approved quotes from 4–5 star responses into the website review section; managed from CRM
  • Review Request Timing — Configurable delay after job completion (default: 2 hours); single follow-up if no response within 48 hours

Notes

The review request message is fully customizable — contractor's name and the job type are dynamically inserted by default. Review requests are suppressed for jobs that have open disputes or service issues in the CRM. Testimonials displayed on the website require explicit approval from the contractor before going live; there is no auto-publish option. Private feedback is never shared publicly under any circumstances.
